The Table Rock Riders of West Salem are having their Trail Days

The Table Rock Riders meet the third Thursday of each month at Westview Inn 7:00 P.M.

Table Rock Riders Relay for Life team has been set up, as it did last year, cancer has struck another club family, and so this year we would like to dedicate our team efforts to the memory of Char Vick and to her family.

Fundraising can take place any time from now up to the Relay for Life event. The actual date of the event is April 9/10^th at the West Salem High School starting at 7 pm (although if you can’t make the actual event and still want to participate, you can still sign up and get the t-shirt and give me the donations to turn in at the event). Signing up for our team is pretty easy, and can be done on-line (as can donating). Don’t forget your t-shirt size when signing up. See the links below in the e-mail and log on to the Table Rock Riders team page to get signed up. If anyone has any questions or would rather sign up manually, please give me a call (792-5361) or drop me an e-mail.

Please feel free to have any of your friends and family sign up on our team if they want to – even if they aren’t Table Rock members. And if you would rather not participate as a team member but would still like to donate, log on to the Table Rock web page (link below) and donate on-line or see one of the other club members.

The TableRock Riders are forming at least one team for this event. Maybe other clubs would be willing to form a team as well?? Sarah is a member of our club and works for the American Cancer Society. I'm sure that she would help other clubs form teams as well. If you have questions, feel free to call Scott or myself at 519-0195.

Whether it is a friend, family member, the neighbor down the street, or our own personal experience, we have all been touched by cancer in some way. As you may know our very own Jenny Loging, a fellow member of the Table Rock Riders is a cancer survivor and the 2009 Honorary Survivor for the Relay For Life of West Salem. At our past meeting, the club voted to support Jenny by forming a Relay For Life team (with the registration fee paid by the club). We all have the power to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

That is why I have chosen to fight back right here on our community by participating in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Relay is a team event to fight cancer and I'm asking you to join my team. The link to join my team is listed below. It will be not only a great night where we party all night to find a cure for cancer, but up until that day we can work together towards a common goal of raising money to fund research, education, advocacy initiatives, and programs and services for cancer patients and their families.

If you can't join the team, please make a donation to help the Table Rock Rider team surpass its goal of raising $1000. If you do join the team, I have a packet of materials to share with you that will cover more details of the event, ideas on fundraising, and explanation of how the funds raised will be invested in the figth against cancer.

The Table Rock Riders would like to thank everyone who participated in there Table Rock Trot.

Table Rock Trot 5K Run/Walk/Roller-Blade and 10K Run in conjunction with West Salem's June Dairy Days celebration. The fun run is held on the first Saturday in June every year; June 2

The race starts at 8:00 a.m. at the bike shelter on the bike trail in West Salem. Registration for the run can be done ahead of time by calling Gib Wee at West Salem Insurance (phone 608-786-1620), or on the day of the race at Village Park across from the West Salem Fire Department.
